Blondies

A Cub Scout Favorite.

Ingredients:

2 sticks margarine
2 cups light brown sugar
1 tbls hot water
2 eggs
2 tbls vanilla
2 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 6oz package chocolate chips

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Melt margarine in a saucepan. Romove from heat.

3. Add sugar and water.

4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

5. Add vanilla and dry ingredients.

6. Stir in nuts if desired.

7. Spread in greased and floured 9"x13" pan or two 8" pans.

8. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

9. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
